I can’t believe today is actually finally here because today is the day that you can pre-order my cookbook, Garden Grown! It is filled with over 100 garden-to-table recipes as well as Anel’s gardening tips along the way. Even if you’re not a gardener but love healthy, flavorful, non-fussy veggie-forward recipes, this book is for you!
Creating these recipes, writing this book, and getting it published has been one of the most challenging and fulfilling things I’ve done in my entire life, and I can now understand why authors often say that writing a book is like birthing a child.

Ok so let me give you some more details of how it’s all laid out: I have 8 recipe sections, each one featuring a different vegetable. So for example the cucumber section will have Anel’s gardening, planting, and harvesting tips specifically for cucumbers, then I share a bunch of cucumber recipes as well as how to store them off-season.
We then repeat that formula for carrots, peppers, tomatoes, eggplant, leafy greens, herbs, onions/garlic, and berries. Many of the recipes are vegetarian but I also have some meat and fish in there for heartier options.
Anel also has a big beginners gardening overview at the beginning of the book and we talk about composting and sustainability within your garden.
The book is colorful, fun, easy to follow along, and every single recipe has a photo which was my biggest ask from the publisher. It’s a pet peeve of mine when I can’t see what a recipe is going to look like. Below I included a sneak peek of two favorites from the book.
